The Vaughan Food Bank has been operating since 1995 and it's associated with the Vaughan Community Information Centre. The Vaughan Food Bank is incorporated and has a charity registration number 10816/9046/RR0001.

The Vaughan Food Bank is operated entirely by volunteers; there are no paid staff.

The Vaughan Food Bank is supported by contributions from various corporations and individuals. There is no monetary support from municipal, provincial or federal governments.

The Food Bank is open to needy clients every 28 days; on Thursdays and Fridays only from 10:00am to 4pm. Clients must arrive by 3:30pm

The Vaughan Food Bank services needy residents of Vaughan as well as various agencies in York Region such as:

• Cross Links Community Services

• Vitanova Foundation

• Caritas

• Street Outreach

• 360 kids

• Elpsworth Centre

• And other Food Banks of York Region.
